The Funeral Ceremony

Funeral: FAQ

Funerals

Bidding a final farewell to a loved one is not an easy task. I aim to work with you to create a ceremony which is a true reflection of the beliefs, personality and lifestyle of the person who has died. This will allow family, friends and colleagues to say goodbye in their own way.

Your input and wishes will drive the ceremony I craft. Ideally I would meet with you in person, but if this is not a possibility, an electronic or phone meeting can be arranged. During this meeting, I would ask you to discuss their stories, share anecdotes and provide information about your loved one. This will allow their essence to be captured and woven into a fitting tribute.

We will work together to plan the order of service. I will incorporate any ideas you may have and advise about the content and structure of the service. Participation of family members or close friends is always welcome, and could take the form of a tribute, poem, reading or music. The contribution could be large or small.

You will have an opportunity to read and review the eulogy or tribute before the funeral along with the order of service to ensure everything is correct.

On the day of the funeral, I would generally lead the ceremony and be close by to give a helping hand, if needed, to family members or friends participating in the service.

With your input I will ensure a personal, meaningful and uplifting ceremony is crafted for you to say your final goodbye in a way which is  significant to you.
